I An Effective Approach for Mobility Prediction in Wireless Network based on Temporal Weighted Mobility Rule

چکیده
In the wireless network, whenever a mobile node moves from one cell to another called handover or handoff, the call needs to be handed off to the new base station, and then network resources must be reallocated. Many mobility prediction schemes are proposed to perform resource reservations in advance so as to reduce the handover latency. Such approaches make use of knowledge patterns of location being mined from the mobility history of users to describe and predict the movement of mobile users. In addition to the location characteristic, the timeof-day also plays a crucial role in modeling the movement and it has attracted several research interests recently. In this paper, we investigate simultaneously spatial and temporal attributes of data and apply a spatiotemporal data mining technique to discover frequent mobility patterns for predicting the next location of a mobile node. Our approach is to mine frequent mobility patterns with time and then to make use of them to construct temporal weighted mobility rules. This paper extends a mobility prediction algorithm by finding the best matched rules which are temporally closest to the query time. Our experimental results show that using the temporal attribute is necessary for improving the prediction accuracy.

Context-aware Modeling for Spatio-temporal Data Transmitted from a Wireless Body Sensor Network
Context-aware systems must be interoperable and work across different platforms at any time and in any place. Context data collected from wireless body area networks (WBAN) may be heterogeneous and imperfect, which makes their design and implementation difficult. In this research, we introduce a model which takes the dynamic nature of a context-aware system into consideration. This model is con...

Routing and data aggregation are two important techniques for reducing communication cost of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). To minimize communication cost, routing methods can be merged with data aggregation techniques. Compressive sensing (CS) is one of the effective techniques for aggregating network data, which can reduce the cost of communication by reducing the amount of routed data to t...

The similarity between trajectory patterns in clustering has played an important role in discovering movement behaviour of different groups of mobile objects. Several approaches have been proposed to measure the similarity between sequences in trajectory data. Most of these measures are based on Euclidean space or on spatial network and some of them have been concerned with temporal aspect or o...
متن کاملEEQR: An Energy Efficient Query-Based Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks
Routing in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is a very challenging task due to the large number of nodes, their mobility and lack of proper infrastructure. Since the sensors are battery powered devices, energy efficiency is considered as one of the main factors in designing routing protocols in WSNs. Most of energy-aware routing protocols are mere energy savers that attempt to decrease the energy...
